ISSUED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE CITY OF KRAKOW
ON APRIL 15TH 2010
regarding the announcement of the competition for the post of a manager of “Bunkier Sztuki” Contemporary Art Gallery in Krakow.
§ 1.
The competition for the post of the manager of “Bunkier Sztuki” Contemporary Art Gallery in Krakow, hereinafter referred to as “Bunkier Sztuki”, with its registered office in Krakow, Pl. Szczepański 3a, is hereby announced.
§ 2.
- Persons eligible for the post of the manager of Bunkier Sztuki must fulfil following conditions:
- possess full legal capacity;
- enjoy full civil rights;
- have a MA degree;
- have at least a 3-year managerial experience;
- have a documented experience in presenting art, especially in exhibition-related work;
- possess a knowledge of legal articles related to organizing and managing cultural events;
- have no criminal record;
- be in good physical condition, which enables work as a manager;
- be proficient in a foreign language.
- There is a preference for candidates who have:
- knowledge of legal articles that regulate public commissions in cultural sector, and of regulations of public finances and administration;
- abilities and experience in leading a team and managing projects;
- predispositions and abilities as an organizer;
- experience and knowledge of raising non-budget and EU subsidies;
- university education in fine arts or in management.
§ 3.
1. Applications submitted by candidates for the post of the manager of Bunkier Sztuki, hereinafter referred to as “manager” must include:
1) written application for the competition with a justification of the decision to become a candidate for the post of the manager;
2) a written plan of future programme, organization and financing of the institution;
3) application form with a photograph;
4) CV with the description of professional experience to date;
5) photocopies of university degrees, courses or other forms of education;
6) photocopies of work certificates issued by previous employers;
7) valid medical certificate to confirm physical condition that enables working on a managerial position;
8) a statement or certificate of having no criminal record and a statement of not being a subject of a legal proceeding;
9)provision of consent to process the candidate’s personal data according to the act of 29 August 1997 on the protection of personal data;
2. Other documents may be included in the application, such as references and recommendations.
3. All the required documents should be submitted in a sealed envelope with the candidate’s address, telephone number, and email address with the inscription: “Competition for the post of the manager of “Bunkier Sztuki” Contemporary Art Gallery in Krakow not later than 60 days after the announcement has been published in local press. The original documents mentioned in paragraph 3 point 5 and 6 should be issued during the interview.
4. The application should be submitted at stand no.6 at the administrative office of the City Town Hall in Krakow in Plac Wszystkich Świętych 3-4 (during working hours of the City Council) or sent to: Urząd Miasta Krakowa, 31-004 Krakow, Plac Wszystkich Świętych 3-4.
5. Applications submitted after the above mentioned date shall not be taken into account.

7. The competition will be held in Polish.
§ 4.
1.Competition proceedings will start on the day when this announcement comes into effect. The proceedings will end on 30th September 2010.
2. The competition will be carried by the Competition Commission appointed by the President of the City of Krakow.
3. The candidates will be notified about the location and date of the interview in writing and by phone.
§ 5.
The candidate appointed in the competition will be employed as the manager of Bunkier Sztuki for a definite period of time, on the conditions specified by the President of the City of Krakow.
§ 6.
The Competition Commission working on the competition proceedings is supported by the Department Of Culture and National Heritage.
§ 7.
The announcement of the competition for the post of the manager of Bunkier Sztuki will be published in Biuletyn Informacji Publicznej, in a national daily, in a local newspaper and announced to the employees of Bunkier Sztuki, and the information about the results of the competition will be published on the website of Biuletyn Informacji Publicznej www.bip.krakow.pl not longer than 14 days from the date when the candidate is hired or the competition proceedings are over, if no candidate is hired.
§ 8.
The execution of the directive is a responsibility of the Director of the Department of Culture and National Heritage.
§ 9.
The directive comes into effect on the day when it is signed.
